The integration of ultra-cold atoms with superconducting circuits creates new opportunities for hybrid quantum systems, where superconducting and atomic components interact through magnetic or electronic couplings. In this talk, I will present experimental results on coupling ultra-cold atoms to a superconducting coplanar microwave cavity. Additionally, I will explore prospects for achieving coherent interactions between Rydberg atoms mediated by a superconducting microwave resonator, paving the way for long-range interacting quantum spin systems.
专家简介:
József Fortágh is a Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Tübingen, specializing in hybrid quantum systems.With a background in cold atom physics, his research focuses on integrating condensed matter physics, nanoscience, cold atomic physics, and photonics to develop hardware for quantum technologies. He earned his PhD from the University of Tübingen in 2003,working on Bose-Einstein condensates in microtraps.Beyond academia, he co-founded the magnetic HighFinesse Laser and Electronic Systems. He has played a key role in advancing quantum science at the Universityof Tübingen, including founding the Center for Quantum Scienceand serving in leadership positions within the university.
