In this talk, I will present our recent theoretical and experimental collaborative progress on localization physics, focusing on three main directions: (1) Critical phases: We report the discovery of many-body critical phases, propose experimental protocols to probe critical behavior, and, in collaboration with experiments, measure the full dynamical properties of a Fibonacci chain exhibiting critical structures.(2) Mobility edges: We show that, in systems with a mobility edge, dissipation can serve as a novel mechanism to induce extended-to-localized transitions. We further identify a new type of mobility edge and experimentally probe five distinct classes of localized phases, including those featuring mobility edges and critical phases. (3) Localization transitions: We propose a framework to understand localization transitions in terms of dynamical translation symmetry breaking.

专家简介:

王玉成,20122018年于中国科学院物理研究所攻读博士学位,20182020年在北京大学从事博士后研究,2021年加入南方科技大学量子科学与工程研究院,任副研究员、博士生导师。长期致力于局域化物理、拓扑物理、开放量子系统及量子模拟等方向的研究。至今以第一作者或通讯作者身份发表学术论文30余篇(含Phys. Rev. Lett. 6篇),文章被引1300余次。
